2009 Charitable Drive Updates
On April 22nd, 2009 we finished loading the Quik X Tractor Trailer which then left to meet up with the Guardewine North Trucks who will continue the journey northward. Once in the North, Wasaya Airlines will be flying in the 400+ boxes into remote communities we serve. This whole process can take six to eight weeks, so the boxes will start to arrive  soon. The Drive day itself was very exciting with VIP visits from MPP Jeff Leal (Parliamentary Secretary for Aboriginal Affairs) and Vaughan MPP Greg Sorbara along with Vaughan Councilor Sandra Yeung Racco. And we got so much press coverage here in Thornhill Post the Thornhill Liberal and Snap Richmond Hill covered the drive as well as York Region.Com. We are waiting for the coverage from the newspapers up North when then clothing arrives… Stay tuned for more…
